Have you ever really thought about the Nike slogan 'Just Do It' - it's really a great slogan, especially for fitness apparel. Think of trying to work out when you are tired, and a million excuses go through your head as to why you cannot start working out. Just shut up and DO IT - it's the only real way to get anything done, or else the power of self persuasion can divert you in the opposite direction. I guess it would really be the antithesis of procrastination, maybe. I think about it all of the time when I catch my mind trying to talk my body out of action. Sometimes though, I think of 'just do it' when I'm debating on whether to eat a donut or not...I don't think this is what the slogan is intended for. I could be wrong. All in all, it's a very motivational slogan when used for the power of self-production.
-Just one of many manic musings.
I prefer to use it in the exact opposite way. For instance, sometimes I'll want to stop but I'm like no, keep going. Instead, I should just do it. I should just stop. You're absolutely right.
